In the Kariyarra language of the traditional owners of Port Hedland, Kumaparniku means ‘all together in one’. Over the next couple of years, we will be conducting some research that will look at how we can work together to grow up strong healthy babies and kids.
Research focused on Down syndrome has increased in the last several years to advance understanding of the consequences of trisomy 21 (T21) on molecular and cellular processes and, ultimately, on individuals with Down syndrome. The Trisomy 21 Research Society (T21RS) is the premier scientific organization for researchers and clinicians studying Down syndrome.
To determine demographic and clinical characteristics of youth diagnosed with Type 1 (T1D) or Type 2 (T2D) diabetes aged </=15 years from 1999 to 2019 in Western Australia, and examine time to first diagnosis of diabetes complications. A retrospective cohort study was conducted of patients identified from the population-based, prospective Western Australian Children's Diabetes Database and longitudinal data extracted for available demographic and clinical variables.
